I have been wanting to set up my iPod to auto sync with my new Mac, but I have been running into one problem.
Since my music files are on my iPod and on MP3 CD-ROMs (and not on my Mac), I would basically have to insert my dozens of CD-ROMs into my Mac before I set the iPod to sync.
If I didn’t, my Mac would sync its (blank) hard drive with my iPod. And the iPod would lose everything.
Luckily, I found a neat little program called iPodRip that took care of everything for me. I downloaded the software, installed it, and let it run.
It took a while to copy the over 6,800 music files from my 40 Gb iPod to my Mac. But it sure saved me having to drag and drop those files a few at a time into iTunes!
iPodRip did the job for me. Perfectly. I highly recommend it.
