As owners of two iMac G5 desktop machines, we can honestly say that they are fantastic computers. We use our iMacs every day and they have definitely spoiled us.

The computer fits easily on a desk, has a huge vibrant screen, and many built in features that have really made me appreciate what a desktop computer is meant to be. Though ours don’t have the new remote control like the new, slightly more media-friendly iMacs, we love them nonetheless.

The latest iMac G5 built on this outstanding product and adds more media functionality - including iSight. Take a look at what reviewers have said:

Walter Mossberg has loved the new iMac, saying, “We’ve been testing this new iMac, and our verdict is that it’s the gold standard of desktop PCs. To put it simply: No desktop offered by Dell or Hewlett-Packard or Sony or Gateway can match the new iMac G5’s combination of power, elegance, simplicity, ease of use, built-in software, stability and security. From setup to performing the most intense tasks, it’s a pleasure to use.”

PCMag.com awards the new iMac its Editor’s Choice award, saying “The iMac G5 is a great desktop for Mac multimedia hobbyists whose needs go beyond simple Web browsing and e-mailing.” They also note some of the new changes in this model: “The power button has been moved from the back right to the back left, no doubt to prevent people from accidentally turning the iMac off when plugging in a cable. Speaking of cables, the USB, FireWire, and VGA/video adapter ports now run horizontally instead of vertically. And with the multibutton Apple Mighty Mouse now standard, the people switching from Microsoft Windows will finally be able to right-click and scroll with an Apple mouse.”
