PCMag.com has reviewed the iPod Shuffle, saying, “The shuffle achieves its random-play design goal. It’s also highly competent as a music player. It has dead-flat frequency response, less harmonic distortion, and most notably, better bass response than its bigger siblings.”
MacWorld reviewed the iPod Shuffle, saying, “To appreciate the iPod shuffle you must abandon some notions of what a music player must be. For example, if you demand that you be able to pick exactly the song you want to hear when you want to hear it, the iPod shuffle isn’t for you. Instead, the iPod shuffle is akin to a radio station that you’ve chosen because you appreciate the style of music it plays. You are the shuffle’s programmer and if you don’t care for what you hear, it’s because you haven’t programmed it properly.”
CNet reviewed the iPod Shuffle, rating it a 6.7. They said, “The iPod Shuffle, with its ultralow price, its dead-simple design, and its iTunes integration, is virtually guaranteed to be a hit, especially among those looking for a second iPod.”
